Gail specializes in professional portfolio advisory services and representation for the real
estate needs of corporate clients. She is a commercial and industrial real estate professional with more than $1 billion in sales and leases completed during her 20-year career.
Career Highlights
Prior to joining the Transwestern team, Gail was Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield
focusing her marketing, build-to-suit, brokerage and consulting expertise on corporate
assignments.
Previously, Gail was a Managing Director at Mesirow Stein Real Estate, Inc and prior to
that she was affiliated with Baird & Warner Commercial as Executive Vice President where
she repeatedly earned Top Producer of Corporate Services Awards. As president of Lincoln
Property Corporate Real Estate Services, Inc., she was instrumental in shaping the
company’s structure and developing its philosophies. Gail had a seven-year tenure at Otis
Realty Group, beginning as a broker and ascending to Senior Vice President. Her real
estate career began at Arthur Rubloff & Company.
AT&T, Baird & Warner, Chicago Tribune, Corn Products International, Genlyte Thomas
Group, Household International, New York Life Insurance, OWP&P Architects, Penn
Mutual Insurance, Remline, Roundtable Healthcare Partners, and Rockwell International
are a few of the corporations that have gained value from Gail’s expertise in acquisition,
disposition, portfolio strategy and process consultation.
A proponent of resource-efficient development, Ms. Sturm is a member of the Rocky
Mountain Institute and its “Green Development Services.” She co-authored “Seeing the
Light,” an article published in Black’s Guide regarding the impact of new lighting
opportunities on lowering energy cost to tenants, and has been a speaker at International
Facility Management Association (IFMA) and has made presentations on the subjects of
negotiation and real estate broker responsibilities. Gail was a featured speaker at the 2003
Annual Crew Network Convention in San Francisco, “Energy & Real Estate — Adding
Value in a Changing Marketplace.”

Gail received a BBA, Marketing/Management from St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame and
