Clinton Evans
Clinton Evans is President& CEO, The Clinton Group LLC. In this capacity, Evans is responsible for the development of strategic marketing and communication programs that position client’s products and services targeting multicultural consumers. Evans client list are Coors Brewing Company, Sony Pictures, New Line Cinema, Comcast Cable, Black Entertainment Television, MBC Cable Network, Champs Sports, Magic Johnson Foundation, Amtrak, Coca Cola USA, Radio One and Universal Music Group.
Evans was recognized for his efforts by BET Networks in the creation and development of Hoop Magic Celebrity Charity Basketball Game during NBA All Star Weekend, Coors Light “Roots of the Rhythm Music Tour, BET/MGM Pictures “Soul Cinema” project, BET College Hip Hop Fest and various national consumer sweepstakes with New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures. Recently, he secured a long term marketing partnership with Historical Black Colleges presenting Black College Sports on MBC Cable Network.
Evans is also charged with creating community outreach programs with organizations i.e. Magic Johnson Foundation, NAACP, Chicago Public Schools and U.S. Department of Transportation. These arrangements are created to leverage his client’s brands, while providing much needed community service efforts in urban communities.
Evans served as national vice president of affiliate marketing and promotions for BET Networks from 1998 until 2001. He also served as director of partnerships and promotions for BET Networks from 1995 until 1997 and director of strategic marketing for BET Movies from 1997 until 1998. Evans joined BET in June 1989 as manager of affiliate sales and marketing division, central region, before his promotion to manage and oversee the revenue growth of seventeen states as director of affiliate sales & marketing for the central region in 1991.
Prior to joining BET, Evans was employed for one year (1988-1989) as director of sales & marketing for Flavor Fresh Foods in Chicago. He also spent two years (1986-1988) as an account manager for Kraft Foods (Breyers Division) and three years (1983-1986) as sales manager for Cablevision Systems, both in Chicago.
Evans, a native of Chicago, graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing/communications. Evans is currently single and resides in the Avon, Connecticut.
